| CEO Update
What a great year! We are incredibly grateful for all the feedback, comments, and suggestions you have given us throughout the year. As a result, The Jackson Organization made numerous improvements to existing services, as well as adding new services to further help you measure, improve, and thrive!
The Jackson Organization has been working very hard to bring your and our HCAHPS concerns and suggestions to CMS. This looks to be a pivotal year for HCAHPS, and we will remain on the front lines so that not only can we help improve the HCAHPS tool and process, but also to keep you informed of all the latest developments. We’ve jumped right into 2006 at full speed, and we are currently developing a powerful HCAHPS product that will help you score high on the HCAHPS survey and improve patient satisfaction—something that HCAHPS cannot do alone!
The Jackson Organization’s 2005 Creating Excellence in Healthcare Conference at the fabulous Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia was truly an amazing success. Attendees loved the location so much that they overwhelmingly voted to have the 2006 Conference hosted at the same location—and we listened! We have already begun preparations for this year’s conference, and we have diligently studied the feedback we received from last year’s attendees in order to make the 2006 Conference the best one yet!
The feedback we’ve received from the new products and services we added in 2005 has been extremely positive. We launched Voice of the Patient, where you can hear crystal clear digital recording of exactly what your patients had to say. We released a new version of StatData (version 3.0), the result of countless hours of research to learn precisely what you needed. A major product release for 2005 was our Strategic Position Assessment, which provides full integration of survey research and analysis for patients, employees, and medical staff. Also, in addition to the stellar team we already had coming into 2005, we added even more of the nation’s top talent to our organization.
In fact, I could go on for several pages about the accomplishments of 2005. But most important is what we all have accomplished as partners in improving the way healthcare is delivered in America. This is our driving passion, and everything we’ve done (and will do in 2006 and beyond) will be to serve that purpose. More and more hospitals made the leap from Good to Excellent in 2005, and we’re here to help you achieve even greater level of Excellence in the coming year.
Keep measuring, keep improving, and keep thriving!

| Discovery: Building Trust Towards Top Leadership and Management
Trust is paramount to success, because without trust there is not true communication or sharing of information and ideas.
