"I'm Thinking of a Number Between 1 and 100..."

Presented by:

Senior Vice President / COO

Overview
One of the key challenges facing hospital leaders is improving the organization's ability to maintain consistent focus on implementing the hospital's strategic plan.  Frequently hospitals and health systems spend a significant amount of resources (both internal and external) in the creation of strategic plans but, very little time is spent in thinking about processes and tools that can ensure that the hospital successfully implements its strategic plan.  Executing strategic plans - including accurately measuring progress and assigning accountability - is a complex task involving many individuals across the enterprise.

Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify the discrete steps involved in translating strategic goals and objectives in Action Steps.
  2. Identify the most prevalent roadblocks to creating the Action Steps and how to overcome them.
  3. Learn how to link Action Steps with key organizational performance measures.
  4. Identify ways to break down departmental silos and increase cross-departmental teamwork.
  5. Demonstrate an effective web-based software application that can be used to create and track performance.
