Overview
Like the Internet some 20 years ago, social networking has taken the world by storm.  So what does that mean for your hospital?  Not participating means a missed opportunity to connect and continually interact with your audience.  During this webinar we will define social media marketing and identify some of the commonly used sites.  We will outline some uses of social media and the benefits as it relates to hospitals.  We will share some of the dos and don’ts for hospitals as you begin their journey into social media marketing.  We will share specific examples of what some hospitals are doing today in the way of social media marketing.  We will introduce the new HealthStream Community, HealthStream’s very own social networking site and list advantages to joining.

Objectives

  1. Define social media marketing and outline some of the most frequently used sites.  Outline the uses of social media and the benefits of that use as it relates to hospitals.
  2. Identify specific examples of how hospitals are using social media today and the benefits they are seeing by participating in this enterprise.  Name some dos and don'ts of social media marketing.
  3. Introduce the HealthStream Community, share how they can get access to participate and explain the benefits of them beginning to use it today.
